The FNB Dance Umbrella 2010 is the 22nd festival for new contemporary dance works that includes a fusion of dance, performance art, dance video and international works showcased in South Africa.

27 February – 14 March 2010
Wits Theatre; Dance Factory; Market Theatre; Goethe on Main; UJ Centre for the Arts

The festival will premiere new commissioned work from South African choreographers and invited international companies on the main programme.

There are also Mixed Bills for shorter works and Stepping Stones for youth and community groups.

There will be a series of dance workshops facilitated by both local and international dance practitioners.

The programme will be jam-packed with new and exciting works from local choreographers such as Vincent Mantsoe, Musa Hlatshwayo, Nelisiwe Xaba, Dada Masilo and Sello Pesa. Companies that will appear in Dance Umbrella 2010 include Jazzart Dance Theatre from Cape Town and Moving into Dance Mophatong from Johannesburg. International companies will be from the USA and France.
